FLEX® Ultra

Our R&D design team is constantly striving to find the best solution for each of the many different requirements in the world of sailing. Drawing on the experience we’ve gained from working with the DFlex and FLEX® PolyCruise lines, we identified the need to develop a more efficient layered cross-taffeta laminate. The next generation of FLEX® Ultra features a true core construction, consisting of a blend of polyester fibers and Ultra-PE. Of course, FLEX® Ultra is coated with a Dimension-Polyant UVM® finish and represents a modern five-layer laminate. We didn’t stop there, because we wanted to protect the laminate’s internal properties in a highly effective way. So we protect the carefully engineered internal structure, allowing the hydrophobic treatment to do its job and eliminate internal water absorption. You can call it performance—and you can count on it. We call it a commitment to peak performance for our customers. FLEX® Ultra is also versatile in terms of application: different versions are available for mainsails (L, M, H), genoa sails (SL, L, M), and booms (L, M, H), and are designed to fit yachts ranging from 30′ to 45′.
