Filmless Lightning is Powerplast’s latest innovation, designed by the R&D department in response to the needs of regatta and cruising sailors. The material is as light as classic Mylar film, yet it offers significantly greater strength and durability. It is the ideal solution for lightweight sails up to 50 feet and Code 0 sails on larger vessels.

Filmless Lightning – features:
– increased load-bearing capacity in two main directions, which improves resistance to stress:
– can be reinforced with para-aramid, carbon fibre, UHMPE, or LCP fibers
– diagonal stability comparable to that of film-based components, combined with flexibility and ease of trimming
