Fibercon Hybrid "powered with Dyneema" is a new addition to the Contender Fibercon Pro range of sailing fabrics.

Carefully designed with cruising yachts and long-distance cruising in mind, Fibercon® Hybrid combines tremendous strength and durability in a fabric tailored for today's high-tech radial sails. With the radial panel layout and weights available in Fibercon® Hybrid, your sailmaker can choose to combine different weights in a sail. Matching the fabric to the load of a specific area of the sail in this way, can make the sail lighter and more efficient.

Thanks to its woven construction and extremely durable Dyneema yarns, Fibercon® Hybrid has excellent resistance to impact damage, wear and tear from use, and unsightly mold growth.

The combination of high-strength Dyneema yarns with our exclusive Fibercon polyester fibers was developed to take advantage of the properties of both components. The entire fabric is finished with a special new Contender coating that is unique to this fabric series. The result is a super-strong high-performance sailing fabric that is much stronger than ordinary fabrics. Fibercon® Hybrid creates stable, long-lasting and great-looking radial sails. Fibercon® Hybrid fabrics powered with Dyneema are available in a wide range of weights that are suitable for almost all popular cruising yachts and are ideal for custom projects.
