Fibercon Hybrid “powered by Dyneema” is the latest addition to the Contender Fibercon Pro line of sail cloths.

Carefully designed for cruising yachts and long-distance voyages, Fibercon® Hybrid combines exceptional strength and durability in a cloth tailored for today’s technologically advanced radial sails. Thanks to the radial panel layout and the range of weights available in the Fibercon® Hybrid lineup, your sailmaker can choose to combine different weights within a single sail. By tailoring the cloth to the load on a specific area of the sail in this way, the sail can be made lighter and more efficient.

Thanks to its woven construction and extremely durable Dyneema fibers, Fibercon® Hybrid offers excellent resistance to impact damage, wear and tear during use, and the growth of unsightly mold.

The combination of high-strength Dyneema yarns with our exclusive Fibercon polyester fibers has been engineered to take advantage of the properties of both components. The cloth is finished with a special, new Contender coating that is unique to this cloth series. The result is a super-durable, high-performance sailcloth that is significantly stronger than standard fabrics. Fibercon® Hybrid produces stable, long-lasting, and great-looking radial sails. Fibercon® Hybrid fabrics powered by Dyneema are available in a wide range of weights, suitable for nearly all popular cruising yachts and ideal for custom projects.
