A2 Asymmetric Spinnaker Runner

The A2 is a medium-wind VMG runner and, at the same time, the most versatile asymmetric spinnaker in the entire ASY (A-) sail range. Designed for a wide range of conditions, it performs exceptionally well in light to moderate winds, offering stability, power, and predictable handling on downwind courses.

Thanks to its optimized geometry, this spinnaker delivers excellent acceleration and high VMG, while allowing for flexible control of the yacht in changing conditions. The A2 is the sail that “does most of the work” during races—it brings out the boat’s full potential when the wind starts to pick up but is still too light or too shifty to switch to heavier sails.
